The Research program “Making antiquity: Constructions and representations of times past” aims to study and analyze the formation of collective identities, cultural memories and modes of historicity in ancient societies from all cultural areas and all historical eras and, thereby, to help structure the research carried out by numerous partners who have until now tended to work mostly separately on the theme of the constructions and representations of ancient times.
