Franck AGGERI : franck.aggeri@minesparis.psl.euThe project will analyze the tensions between material sobriety and solidarity in the context of ecological and social transition.
How can solidarity, embodied here by the donation of unsold non-food items, be ensured in a society that limits waste and aims to move towards more sober lifestyles ?
The CONSOLIDE project aims to analyze the tensions between material sobriety (consuming less and consuming items that are less destructive to living organisms) and solidarity in the context of the debate on just transition. The project will analyze the trajectory of donated items from upstream, including unsold goods from companies, their quality and quantity, a subject at the heart of the AGEC law, to their acquisition by associations (particularly social and solidarity grocery stores) through the action of a donation intermediary, the Agence du Don en Nature, which is a stakeholder in the project. The aim will be to provide a theoretical answer to the question of the extent to which donation can be dignified in the context of ecological transition in order to implement actions on the ground for greater social justice.
Keywords : sobriety, waste, object circulation practices, consumer, relationships with objects, circular economy, innovation, management tools, business model, rational utopia
