Pilot Project SECUNDO - GCC

The GCC (Graphicacy for Climate Change) project is based on the observation that graphics are the primary language of climate science, yet they are often misunderstood. This lack of proficiency leaves the public vulnerable to cognitive biases and manipulation.

To address this, this transdisciplinary project will first assess basic graphic literacy in the field of climate science. It will then identify the visual elements that lead to errors. Finally, in collaboration with the OCE and the CSEN, the team will develop targeted educational tools. The goal is to strengthen the interpretive skills of students, teachers, and experts to build solid trust in climate data.
