ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • A TERRAE Pilot Project must be led by three project leaders : two members (or associate members) of laboratories affiliated with PSL and one non-academic actor who will be closely involved in the project.
  • The two academic co-leaders must represent two distinct disciplines.
  • At least one academic leader must be a permanent member of a French public research institution (and affiliated or associated with a laboratory affiliated with PSL).
  • If funding is requested to support a doctoral student, one of the two faculty co-researchers must be certified for doctoral supervision (HDR). NB : It is not necessary to identify the doctoral student or postdoctoral researcher who will be involved in the project at the time of proposal submission.
  • A co-leader (researcher or non-academic actor) may not be involved in more than one application.
 

EVALUATION AND SELECTION OF PROPOSALS

Proposals will be evaluated and ranked by the TERRAE Steering Committee, advised by external experts if necessary, according to the following criteria :

  • Relevance of the project topic to the three main objectives of TERRAE (see section 1 above).
  • Scientific quality, originality, and feasibility of the project.
  • The scientific merit of the team members and the potential for new interdisciplinary synergies and new synergies between academic partners and stakeholders.
  • The ability of the research to translate into actions that will accelerate the transition.
  • The feasibility of the project in relation to the requested budget, i.e., financial sufficiency.
Decisions regarding awards will be made at the end of May 2026, and the co-principal investigators will be notified individually.
